Malcolm Stebbins, Are you not the one who drove in the Egyptian desert for weeks without a mechanic in sight for a thousand miles or two? And through countries after that without any Vanagon knowledge? Although, I must say, here in the US you are just as much on your own with a van like this. Despite having a mechanic on every corner, you know more than they do.
