The key to parting out a Vanagon is to strip off every part that can be shipped UPS, FED x, or by US mail and clean them up. Photograph them and wait patiently for someone on the several Vanagon list to ask for the part. I lurk the Vanagon and Type II list and offer parts when I have them. As far as how much can you make ........... not a lot but pennies from heaven are still spendable. http://www.engineceramics.com/vw/vwparts.htm

I have an opportunity to pick up a parts van, with the same interior color scheme as mine that would provide some nice parts for me, the parts themselves are not worth enough to merit buying the van, but I was wondering about the possibility of parting it out.

How much can one realisticly expect from parting out a non camper van with a Jetta engine?

Chris
