Well, lately, on a recently re-sealed engine with new heads and new sleeve/pistons.... at first start, the lifter didn't pump properly (they always pump up pretty fast) and a pushrods went off slamming everywhere!! i was at 3/4 turn IN!!! So now, it's 2 turns in for every engine after a re-sealed/rebuilt...after a solid drive/test, compression test...i go back to 1 turn IN.

Compression test show(warm engine): Same compression at all setting!!! 1/2, 1 and 2 turn.

But, am talking about old lifters here.

Cheers, Ben http://www.benplace.com/amc_head/amc8.jpg
