I have this chip in running with a Boston Engine Big Valve Engine and have posted many times on this subject. Check the archives. It does give a slight improvement but drops the fuel consumption slightly. At first I did not feel it was worth the cost. But, since my new engine has settled in well I do find a remarkable performance increase. Mind you I have the Big Valve kit plus the chip so it's hard to differentiate which is doing what. All I know I am very satisfied with the performance of my Westy this season. Seems to me that engine works better now after it has gotten a few thousand km on it. Still having the rough idle problem due to the excess air at idle that the FI can't figure out what to do with. Minor problem, as soon as the throttle is opened it is very smooth running. See my _1987 Westy Modifications & Improvements_ (http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/mods.htm) webpage for more details.
