On most head gaskets the block seal will work for the little drip type leaks. However the real problem still exists and will need to be addressed. However the catch is when. I have seen block seal go for quite a while in some vehicles. I have torn down quite a few engines that have had the stuff used on them. Does no damage to the engine but if you are looking at an unknown engine for salvage and rebuild and find the residues in it you now have to do some testing. I have found the stuff inside of several VW 1.9 engine cases I was salvaging. jimt On 6/5/05 11:14 PM, "James Benthall" <Taobythesea@AOL.COM> wrote: > Hi all, > Thanks to all that responded.
