It was named in honor of a German, Detlef S., who was the original owner for 18 years, & kept it in pristine condition before he sold it to moi. In fact, he would not let me drive it when my wife & I, the 1st tentative buyers, showed up to look at it! He took us for a ride in it, & told us how to care for it(do not follow to closely behind other vehicles, don't go over 55 mph, etc.) Tom |
