Hello, it sounds like a top end problem.Most likely the lifters that vanagons are so famous for.They will leak down in a few days and sound like your engine is on its way out.Imagin what the leak down can be when the engine has not been used for as long as the engine that you just installed. From what I can tell from here, I would start the van up and drive to a Pep Boys or, similar, and allow the lifters time to pump up on their own.Upon arriving at a flaps, buy a product called valve medic (Gunk?). This stuff is great!It will clean out the crud that has coagulated and encrusted your valves.It will lubricate your lobes,and rejuvinate your rockers.It will polish your push rods and hydrate your hydrolics. |
