I have, for the past 3 westies (81-86-91) always traveled with the top bunk in place. My wife and I have expirimented with sleeping "up" and "down" and seem to prefer sleeping "down", as we frequently awake during the night to urinate (must be getting old). So for this trip, I removed the top bunk (only the part that folds over), and took out the mattress. I bought 2 low profile RubberMaid storage bins and cut them down so that they fit under the closed pop-top. I then bought 2 stick-on hooks and stuck those in front of the bins to prevent the bins from sliding forward. I put my stuff in the bins and my wife still uses suitcase style storage. Now at night, I pop the top, and put one bin on top of the other bin; then we move the suitcase style items up top to make the bed. So far this has worked fine. m2cw Malcolm __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com |
