'80-'81 - chrome moonies or spoked "wagon style" aluminum wheelcovers w/ fake lugnuts and wolfsburg crest in middle

'82-83 - plastic webbed/spoked wheelcovers w/ fake lugs and ve emblem in center

'84 GL's same as above '84 wolfsburgs has the '85 up "aero disc" plastic wheelcover

'85-91 "aero disc" plastic wheelcover

'87 was the first year for the alloy wheels as an option..
