Subject: Re: GPS equipment?

I picked up an Alpine DVD based system off EBAY last spring (2004) for $600 used. I think the model was nv-851a, it has a navigation ecu and a monitor ecu (which has aux inputs for tv, movies...) and a 7.5" monitor. I put the ecus under the driver's seat ( had to cut out the front b/c I have swivels), and mounted the monitor on the flat face front of the aftermarket dash that eurocampers sells. I purchased the new 2004 DVD from alpine, and I would never go back to maps. Any kind of destination you can think of is listed, and installation was an easy weekend project. I can send pictures of everything if anyone would like, but not for another week or so-I've got the whole dash out right now. I think I may have posted step by step instructions on the install here or on the syncro list last year.
