what I want to do is install a wiring kit for a small trailer; there are some kits which are powered directly from the battery, so they don't put a burden on the old wiring system. Now instead of hooking it up directly to the battery via a fuse, is it possible to hook it up directly to the alternator via fuse. the reason is that the alternator is at a way more convenient location.
