I've been meaning to throw this idea in the ring for a while. given the
fact that the archives are a regularly used source for maintaining and
knowing "everything" there is to know about our beloved bricks, why not
store it offline on a couple of DVDs? I reckon at 4GB capacity most of the
content will fit in two DVDs. All we would have to figure out is how to
include the front-end searching capability. You could then pull over in
the middle of nowhere, flip open your laptop and voila! vanagon archives
on demand.


Just a though, what do y'all think?
