My first one was named Bessie.  Her favorite song was "Up on Cripple Creek"
by The Band.  I'm not sure how that all came about, but I'm sure that mind
alteration had something to do with it.  She was definitely a girl.

My second one was named "Action Van," after a Widespread Panic song called
"Action Man" about a racehorse.  Definitely a male.  Granted, a Vanagon
ain't a racehorse, but that van was a noble steed in many ways.

My new one is yet to be named, but it also seems like a fella.  The name was
almost "Rex," because I was supposed to take delivery on Mardi Gras day, but
I ended up getting it later in the week and had do jettison that name.  So,
I know it's a male, but I don't know what its name is.

If none of this makes sense, I apologize.  I'm just settling in to the
unemployed life and appear to be thinking much more randomly than before.
