Hey Mike,

I just finished doing the exact same thing to mine! It's a real pain in the a$$ to say the least. YOu may want to consider doing them in the van. The piece they are talking about is a thin bit of plastic stuck into the rubber all the way around the outside of the window. There is a goos change that if you van was painted it was never put back in.

If you think taking them out is tought just wait till you have to get em back in. I did most of the body work on mine and had it painted so I left that job to the pro's. They told me it was the worst job they have ever had as far as getting them back in. Aparently KY jelly and some very strong nylon chord is the only way to do it...

My advise is if your not painting it then really think about doing the tint with the windows in the van.
