I don't know about the two you specified or Canada.

I do know about a $175 portable Bluetooth unit from IOGear in the US. The map CD does include Canada. Based on the functionality, I like it, but the software has crashed a few times. Of course, I am a computer programmer, so I have a ton of software installed on my machine which could very easy have caused some conflicts. Based on the Bluetooth connectivity, included extras, size, and battery longevity, I love it.

This model talks via the laptop and I would not have it any other way. If I get confused at a complicated intersection, I can look at the screen, but other than that, I keep my eyes on the road and listen to the directions.

Check it out their models on IOGear's website.

Bring a laptop car power adaptor and make sure your laptop is not set to auto-suspend.
