Subject:   Attaching cable to thermostat?
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hello listers!

It seems that I must be obsessed with thermostats, because it's all I've been posting about recently! With great thanks to Boston Bob Donalds, I have all the pieces for mounting my thermostat to my 2.0L aircooled engine. I'm not sure how the cable attaches, though? There's a post coming out of the bellows on the cable side of things - on the blown thermostat, the outside of this post is threaded and there's a cable-holding cap that screws down over it. On the new thermostat (from Bus Depot) the threads are on the inside of the post...

I've called in sick (*cough*) to work to get this engine finished today, so any advice MUCH appreciated!! :)

Cheers! Mike.
