<<Subject: vanagon syndrome-- need capacitor Hello, I think me 85 has this syndrome.I have all the symptoms and they have been getting worse recently, I also have stalling at start up occasionally, where I never had this before. Gotta do something about it.>> Prior to going to the capacitor extreme in trying to get the Van running right off idle, make sure the thottle positioning switch is coming on at the right time as well as off. If it isn't setup right on the money you'll experience all the problems you've mentioned in spades. I'm not sure if you have an early or late model 85. The early version has two TPS switches, the later version having only one. They had better be adjusted properly or your going to get the off idle stalling, bucking, problems you mentioned. |
