I second that.  Got mine from Dennis at the end of last summer.  I had
to make a few manual adjustments with a mini-sledge to get it on, but
the whole job was definitely easier than expected.

All,

I just wanted to throw out special thanks to Dennis Haynes for the
Vanagon hitch he made for me. It fits perfectly. If anyone needs a hitch
to haul cargo or pull a very small trailer, OR to fortify that back end
(the rear bumper does nothing to protect) then this is a great option.

It was installed inside an hour...and that's with me working with my Dad
who is VERY particular about fit and finish...its like the vanagon was
made to have this hitch installed...

Dennis has pictures in the instruction manual he has for the
hitch...well worth the money.
