I think the best bet for getting graphite into tight corners is an aerosol can of graphite lube. You can find it at most hardware stores and all over the internet. I have a can of it right here. It seems to be graphite suspended in alcohol, judging by the smell. Should squirt right in and dry quickly, leaving a nice graphite film. I'd give the name of the can I got, but we've had this same can here at work for probably 12 years and all the words are rubbed off the can! (we mostly use fancy synthetic dry lubes like EZ-Glide in our lock biz now). Google for "aerosol graphite lubricant".
