It is I, the other poor slob currently suffering from VS. I just did the capacitor-solder addition, and have no relief. I just got 2 new , used relays for the fuel pump and am going to put them in tonight.If you want to take the westy to Red Rocks, you may try swapping the 2 relays for the fuel pump and see what you get-- or even swap a relay from somewhere else on the vanagon. The relay numbers that are stamped on the relays is #24 . The fuel pump relays are located in the black box just above the coil. Open it up and just switch the location of the 2 relays that are inside.See what you get.
