I have no idea what happened to the original engine that required a replacement and resulted in the Canadian engine being installed. All that happened before I bought the vehicle. From the time I bought it with 86,000 on it, I ran it about 10,000 miles. before ti failed. It burned a hole in a piston while traveling on I-40 near Clinton OK. Since it was a strange engine to me, with low mileage - to me_ I opted to have a locally built newly overhauled engine installed. I have 60,000 on that engine now and it is running srong.
