Here's my trick.

You carefully take your hand that's not pulling out the latch and sliding the window. With that hand not sliding the window you gently lift out the center edge of the plastic screen (only a 1/4") as you slide the window with the other hand..DON"T pull out so hard you'll crack the plastic!...using this method the Noise will be gone (if you remove that strip of fuzz every bug for 50 miles will find out).... Now if it's 5:00am and you're getting away early, and the kids next door kept you up all night... don't use this quiet trick, but slide the window open and close a few dozen times ;^) EEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!
