We made it from Halifax to Lethbridge, Alberta and right outside a VW shop, the oil buzzer went off. First time in owning 3 vanagons (1981-86-91) that I have heard this sound. Re the dip-stick, there is Oil in the engine. the Engine runs fine. I use Mobile 15-50 so it is not the 'thin oil' syndrom. There are not 'recomended repair shop' for Lethbridge, so the VW dealer is looking at it as I type. I'm traveling, and have SET VANAGON NOMAIL, so if you have any ideas, please REPLY ALL or p-mail me. We all hope that it is a mal-functioning oil pressure switch. Thanks, Malcolm
