I'll have to say that in the summer heat riding in a Vanagon with a more than likely unshut or half shut front heater valve, I'd be having all the window's open, and then some. I'd be driving the Van to an accessory AC installer and solving the heat wave problem immediately. Vacuum & electric powered fans went out with the Henry-J, Kaiser-Frazer, Tucker, Crosley, Hudson Hornet & Wasp, and the Rambler Cross Country. Unzip the mattress Paul and pop for some comfort.
