My 87 Wolfsburg has developed a gasoline smell. It seems to get worse just after filling up and fades as the tank gets empty. Any idea what this might be and how to fix it? There is no detectable leak i.e. no spots on the ground. Also, I rarely fill up completely usually just to about half or two-thirds of a tank - so it should not be not overflowing.
