so - here's the story. the service valve isn't for R-134 or R12. however, i've yet to figure out what refrigerant it's compatible with! i'll try to explain what it looks like, but if you'd like to help, please let me know and i can send a pic to your email address. ...here it goes. the valve is about 1/3" in diameter , then (top to bottom) it has about 1/4" of threads at the top, then it flares out, then back to the normal post 1/3" shaft size. my dad, the mechanic, says that it might be a Freeze-12 service valve or something similar. ...any ideas would be greatly appreciated! dusty.
