Subject: HELP! runs good...dies...good..dies?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

My 88 2.1 4spd. starts and runs good...but after about 20 miles on a trip it starts to die..it's as if the air or fuel is being cut off.

Then I open the engine compartment, and throttle it by hand it seems to "snap/pop" in the air intake...as if something is snapping shut???not sure if it is popping back from the engine...and as the seconds tick by, and I keep giving it trhottle it dies down and then stalls.

Here's the wierd thing. When I turn off the ignition, it starts right up and runs fine for about a minute then she starts to die again.

It's done this a couple of times in the last month, but came out of it, but this last time it just wouldn't straighten out...

Any help/info would be great.
