Subject: '82 Westy diesel-to-gas w/ rebuilt trans! $5500 (Portland, OR)

Beautiful Southern CA vehicle in wonderful condition! Originally a diesel Vanagon and still registered in California, which offers its own advantages to CA residents.

I just had the 1.8l Inline-4 engine from 1991 Cabriolet professionally installed last month (with under 60K miles on engine), where it also got a new clutch kit, new battery, & other parts. Transmission has fewer than 10K since professional rebuild (documented), and is higher-geared than original diesel gearing for faster speed at lower RPMs. I just verified that the warranty will transfer - it goes to April '06. Extremely straight & clean van w/no rust at all! Near-new muffler, too. 200,448mi on odometer.

Complete with both tables, curtain set and beautiful stove/sink/fridge module. Still has ice tray in fridge! Comes with original jack and good spare tire, too. Stove works fine, but fridge should be looked-at (I can't light it), so I'll drop $100 off the asking price so you can have that done professionally.

Excellent C-Rated tires with lots of tread remaining. Top is in great condition w/a couple very small snags in screen. I've done lots of little things to prepare for sale, like replace the windshield glass, both steering rack boots, tie-rod ends, end caps, diesel hatch cover and paid for a professional alignment.

Only drawbacks - tears in driver's seat, paint crackle from being under a bra too long, and you may not be close-by to Portland, Oregon to see & drive her!

Email me for pictures, or come by to see her.
