Subject: '85 Westy Ignition Woes
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

After thorough review of the archives, I believe my problem lies in the infamous faulty ignition switch. Unfortunately, the switch was replaced 11/18/02/10,000 miles ago. Is this adequate time/mileage for ignition switch to die? Current symptoms are turn key and nada, which has only happened twice and van started within 5 minutes. Also, "key in ignition" buzzer is intermittently working. One archive message did state that the actual key cylinder mechanism was worn and didn't engage ignition switch, thus leading to eventual replacement of that part rather than the assumed ignition switch. Can anyone chime in here on my problem? Thanks.

Lucas
