Subject: Gowesty nuts for Audi wheel mod
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi volks,

Is there anybody on the list who has had experience using Gowestys silver coloured nuts for the 15" Audi rear wheel modification? (Part # 255-601-143AM)

I'm looking to cover up the ugly, protuding wheel studs that are necessary for this mod. The Audi wheels are a terrific addition to the van except for those darned rusty old studs poking out.

The Gowesty nuts are close ended so I guess they are limited by the actual length of the protruding stud. I suppose, if too long, the studs could be cut down and rethreaded, a lot of work.

Just wondering if this has been tried before I go ahead and make a purchase. It was a lot of work getting those longer studs in and despite the appearance it wouldn't be worth going through that all over again.

Cheers, Phil '89 2WD Westy
