The VW place tested the oil pressure and it was very good. At my suggestion they grounded the oil pressure switch till I could get another switch BUT the buzzer still went off at 2,000 RPMs. mmmm I took the instrument housing cover off (to silence the buzzer) and the dust cover off and the buzzer stopped, put it back on and it buzzed, off and it stopped, cover OFF and dust cover ON and it buzzed ----- I fiddled with the electric-plastic-circut-fex-thingy (in back of the speedo & Tach) and the buzzer would go on and off mmmmm

seems I have a short in the instrument flex-board, so I taped it down and all is OK for now.

Oh yes, I re-attached the oil pressure switch, All is OK, and we are in Jasper Alberta, what a grand place. Thanks to all who responded. Malcolm
