Subject: mechanics in IL or IN for '87 Westy engine replacement
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Hi All, I have been off the list for quite some time, since my "87 Westy blew her engine. Well, I finally have the money to replace the engine and was looking for the Mechanics list that I had seen before affiliated with this list. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. I am looking for a mechanic in the Chicagoland area or Michigan City, IN area ( where the van is currently in storage). I plan to buy the engine through Boston Bob. Is that still the preferred vendor for engines? I also want to get the a/c fixed at the same time. On average, how much does the engine replacement and a/c conversion cost?

Additionally, could someone tell me how to change to digest format? I saw where it said "set digest mode" but forgot how to do it.

Thanks to any and all who respond. Jenny Fontaine Chicago, IL
