Ran into two of those vans here in the denver area. Both were sold by the same dealership that sold mine originally. Tynans vw. Talked with the owner of one that was still the orig owner of the vehicle. It was purchased by his father for the family business and came with no seats in the back and no sliding windows. "carrier" was another name for "cargo" van. Van was also available with seats though I am told that on most of these variants the seats were added later. jimt On 6/26/05 12:44 PM, "Mark Drillock" <mdrillock@COX.NET> wrote: > Also when I look at the middle windows, I don't see sliders, just one > piece glass. > > Mark > > JORDANVW@AOL.COM wrote: > >> what is this thing? >> >> http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=189124 >> >> looks like a '90-91 non-GL...but this is a '88. and the 90-91 non-GL's were >> never burgundy.. >> >> notice the grille..round headlights with big logo... european style.. >> >> im thinking this is a grey market caravelle of some sorts? >> >> chris |
