Hmm... interesting! I have often thought of adding an
auxilliary electric pump to move the coolant through
more efficiently. Guess I'm not alone.
As for the tachograph, that would be an option for
commercial use. Truckers call them "tattletales" - -
what they are is a recording tachometer, which prints
out a little sheet of paper on a graph showing the
engine rpms during the operating period, typically a
24-hour period. They are locked in a box, so that the
employer can replace the paper daily and look at the
rpm of the engine that his employee operated at.
Someone who exceeds the operating rpm of the engine
(for instance by going downhill at 95 mph) can then be
fired.
Anyways, I'll take this opportunity to say I really
enjoy this list, even though I am not a frequent
