Sorry, got the hoses mixed up. the inlet should be cooler than the outlet of the reciever. Another possiability , but I think not on the vanagon, is that the drain tubes are blocked up with a bug nest or somethin. The water builds up and encases the evaporater in a block of ice. Air wont blow through it until melted.This mostly happens in regular cars, with the evaporater inside the dashboard.The vanagon has only a drain pan and 2 tubes.If both tubes happein to get blocked up , the drain pan will overflow. Once again , the vanagon is unlike most other vehicles. This rinki dink system reminds me of watering flowerpots,with the overflow coming out the bottom. |
