Should be like all the other wires in it's performance. If not, you may have a bad connection between the coil and the distributor. Works sort of like a battery terminal and terminal cable. You can get some corrosion on/in the connections and the resistane will go way up. Pull the wires and clean the terminals on the end of the wires. Should take care of the problem. If not, just stick another plug wire in there.

Have you checked the reistance through the distributor cap?
