Tom, Here's the specs on what I believe is the exact unit. I know the one at Sams is a GE and 5150 btu and the 530 watts match as well . It looks like the Sam's price of $77 is pretty darn good, shows up better than internet pricing. Its possible the model at Sams does not have all the features like remote control and timers and stuff. For $77 bucks I am very tempted to buy one and play around with it and my inverter and see how it works. If nothing else I can plug it into my van and plug the van into shore power for a pre cool down. I would also be very interested if I could "strip" it down and get it into a smaller lighter bare bones unit. Some stuff lends it self to that and some engineering is pretty good already.
