The instructions I've had with every new suction valve say "Don't blow air through it". If you're going to try to flush the oil from an A/C system you need to remove both the dryer and suction valve and turn the compressor so it sits in a way to gravity drain the old oil. Also not a bad idea to blow all the moisture possible from your compressor tank and your water trap before you blow your investment with moisture introduction.
