Yeah. Release shaft would tend to describe it. It goes across the bell housing and has two arms that stick down. Those arms actuate the T/O bearing. When new, the bearing rests against a nice gentle curve. As the van builds up miles, the curve wears away and becomes more angular, allowing the bearing to rock back and forth as it makes contact.
