Subject: hesitation when I hit the gas...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

I have some hesitation when I hit the gas pedal in my 1984 vanagon 1.9 standard ...if I feather the gas pedal, or let off lightly for a second or two then it is fine... truthfully I haven't looked at the spark plugs since I bought it 2 or 3 years ago. I have this fear of something breaking...(like the exhaust stud thing).. I also had this whiny fuel pump which I switched out with a remanufactured pump that whines almost exactly just like the old one I replaced.. I also changed the fuel filter and rammed a clotheshanger into the gastank outlet to clear a hole in the filter on the inside of the tank(if there is one there)... there is also a dent in the tank in that particular same spot where the hose hooks the tank to the fuel filter.

I cant figure out if it is anything related to all of my other problems or if it could be something completely different. I just want my green lite acceleration back.
