I tried the EZ Awning sold by the Bus Depot. I was disappointed by it. While has some decent features, it wasn't very elegant. Then I heard about a way to get the Shady Boy. So I did. Now, this is MUCH more to my liking. Took me a few minutes to drill the holes and get it mounted, but I like this one a lot. Though the EZAwning is relatively light in weight, and doesn't require drilling holes in your Vanagon to use it, the Shady boy is even lighter, and doesn't take up any room inside. It goes up even faster and is fairly easy to take down and store back in its little box. Too bad I couldn't get the Shady Boy storage box in an anodized maroon to match the rest of my Vanagon.... :) |
