I have done it numerous times and recommend getting the wiring harness with the modulator. It costs about $60. Mine is a Draw-Tite, 4 wire model. You can use the less expensive one without the mod., but that puts an extra strain on the, all ready weak light switches in the van. All you need to do is run power to the mod. from the battery and patch into brake, signals, and create a ground.
