>Is there any way to modify a standard, single sliding door to a double? I had a LHD Bay for a while. Some PO had fitted a left slider into it. It's a matter of knocking out the blank side panel and firring the necessary bits from a wreck. I very much doubt there is any reinforcing in the double-door vans. I had a stock double-door 4WD Hiace and it was great. VW makes its vans modular... both sides (RHD/LHD) have a side panel in front of the rear quarterpanel, so the conversion is possible. Japanese vans have a specific one-piece offside side/quarterpanel, so a conversion would be far more difficult. -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin New Zealand Fossil preparator <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut |
