Hi, This morning I replaced the fuel pump on my 87 digifant. The old pump was a Pierburg pump. The pieburg is FAR narrower than the bosch I am installing. The previous owner had to bastardize the connectors to get it work. I replaced the connectors with females to match the males on my new pump. The pierburg also has a heavy duty rubber insulator around it, but its too narrow to get around the bosch. Is it necessary to have an insulator, or can I just install the bosch as is and not be concerned? bosh pump = 0 580 463 016 thanks, jeff |
