Hey guys.... Mystery van am working on (1.9L): Problem... van overheat, pretty quick, front rad cold, upper big hose to thermostat cold, the other one very hot... Engine compression is crasy, 185, 160, 90, 80... slight lost of coolant (pressure test) but not much (my tester is kind of old)... Work done: new pump, thermostat, cleaned front rad and flow tested, bleed all the way...new coolant... Same problem. Note: the "not so long ago" new exp. tank was full of a "jelly brown like" stuff... oil i guess... For sure: no flow on the 2 main cooling hoses.. front rad cold as ice.. No, i didn't test the new thermostat.... My coolant pressure tester is bkoken.... Anything i don't think of...yea yea, i know, possible head crack!!! Cheers, Ben http://www.benplace.com/ |
