I, too, often find the Bentley a bit obtuse, even more
so than the Haynes manual. But ANY organizational
structure is superior to that of the so-called
'archives' in their current state. To paraphrase
Winston Churchill, "The Bentley and BTDT are the worst
form of information organization, except for all those
others ..."

If you find that even after cleaning your mouse ball
and imbibing of that first morning cuppa joe, you
still have trouble maneuvering through the menus at
the BTDT site, please note that the menus can also be
used in the usual way. That is, instead of using it
dynamically, actually click on 'Engine' to go to a
sub-menu including "Assembly, Crankshaft/Crankcase,
Cylinder Heads / Valve Drive, ..." Actually click on
one of those to go to the next sub-menu, and so on.
It's no more difficult than flipping through the pages
of a book.
As I remarked when this same topic came up last month,
and will likely repeat when it arises again next
month, if everyone submitted just one or two of their
favorite posts from the mailing list over the years to
John Meeks' "BTDT" site http://www.vanagonauts.com/
we'd soon have a very complete and comprehensive
collection of valuable advice. This would be a
collective group undertaking, thus would not require a
Herculean effort by any one individual. We each chip
in and do a bit of it, and the contents are
self-rating for relevancy. Easily searchable from any
internet connection, and I seem to recall that John is
considering means by which to get it on a CD or DVD.
But first he needs content ...
