Subject: Re: Electrical discharging a capacitor

Hello, still interested in the instructions? Yur very brave.I hope your not discharging a capaciter that is bigger than you. If your discharging regular capacitors that go to a 110 volt appliance , no sweat. Just put your tounge on the 2 terminals(NOT). Sorry, couldnt help that. A screw driver is ok. Chances are you wont even see the spark. However, it could be harmful, but I know you will be careful, right? Now, it may be nessary for you to know this next bit of info , as I dont know what your situation is. Some capacitors are not marked asto which terminal is positive and negative. What to do? Capacitors are sensitive this way. Hold the capacitor in front of your body with one hand. Hold the "blow out hole" towards you so there is a terminal to each side. Now , hot(pos), is on the left. The blow out hole looks like a big lump of soldier(sp).Roger
