Hello, you said it , not me. Low coolant level.May be too late now to do this, but when I was scrounging for vanagons, My most imporiant tool was a antifreeze tester. An unknown vanagon had its colant concentration checked with this eyedroper. A concentration of less than 50 percent ment (to me) that a head gasket leak had occured. The owner had grown weary of topping the level off with a 50 percent mixture of water and antifreeze. Just water was now being used , and the concentration is down.Sometimes way down.Check yours and see what total antifreeze concentration you have.It is how I check for that head gasket leak. I woundnt spend your fortune for a while till you watch your colant level 30 days.Sometimes these gaskets leak a lot during winter, but not summer. I guess that is ok. If you do got a leak, I got a $10 fix for it that will work.Dont want to leave you hanging.
