Still reducing my Vanagon fleet! Very nice condition '86 Syncro
Adventurewagen, full camper high-roof [for those not on the AW list],
dark blue non-metallic with blue velour seats and oak cabinetry. The van
is in excellent condition in, out, and mechanically. The van was
converted in 1989 rather than when new as most AW's were, so it has all
the upgrades that Ed added around that time. It is originally from
Oregon, here in Maryland for the past eight months, so hasn't seen any
eastern winters. I've gone over just about the entire van and fixed
everything that it needed, including but not limited to: new head
gaskets, coolant flush with the proper coolant, oil service, tuneup,
voltage regulator, all belts, oil cooler seal, oil pressure switches,
new auxiliary battery and main battery, rear header pipe, muffler, and
tailpipe, bumpers, antenna, water filter, and new foam mattress. The
27x8.5-14 all-terrain tires have 5K on them, brakes in great condition.
Rear differential lock. The engine is not original but a VW reman unit,
mileage approx. 80K. The van itself has 150K miles. Ready to go camping,
anywhere! I'm looking to get $14,500 but will consider offers for an
immediate sale. It is currently located in western Maryland an hour west
of DC. Many photos available.
