The difference between them and the multi-wire on is the one with the multi wire version has a built in heater to rapidly heat the unit. This brings it on-line much faster. The signle wire- splice type heats up from the exhaust heat, which requires a bit more time. Both have to be hot to work properly. So it't really just a matter of choice. $40 for the same ride and the $120 unit. Only with the latter you are paying for the heater, and may save a miniscule amount f uel.
